CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — The fourth annual Cory Rasch Invitational Xtreme Bulls returned to F&M Bank Arena on Saturday, bringing professional bull riding back to downtown Clarksville.
The event was founded by Clarksville native Cory Rasch, a firefighter and former professional bull rider who qualified for the PBR World Finals seven times. Rasch has brought the competition to his hometown since 2023.
This year marked a change for the invitational, with the event receiving sanctioning from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Organizers advertised $35,000 in prize money and announced coverage on The Cowboy Channel. The sanctioning also allowed riders to compete for earnings toward their PRCA world standings.
Cody McElroy took first place with an 84.5-point ride aboard 4L Rodeo's Buzzard Bait, earning $15,886. Riley Shippy and Colton Young tied for second with 84 points each, taking home $11,915 apiece. According to the PRCA, these were the only three qualified rides of the night. The official total payoff was $39,715, including ground money.
The bulls were provided by Cowtown Rodeo, Rafter G Rodeo, and 4L Rodeo, with bullfighters Ryan Dahl, Mike Driver, and Richard Ratley working the arena.
The evening also included Mutton Bustin' for younger participants and a performance by country musician Lawson Harris before the main competition. Organizers also announced a collection to benefit Camp Rainbow, a summer camp for children with medical needs.
